What does shawed mean?

I expect this to be the first question I get from those who haven't used this word before. I give all credit to MH for saying "shock and awe", "shock and awe" over and over until a shorter word had to be used.

I'm not sure if anything I post here will shock and awe anyone, but I'm gonna give it a try.

Before I go, I'd like to recommend the ASOFAI series by our good friend GRRM to anyone who hasn't checked it out yet.
