ND Updates

Well, in an effort to try to keep you informed on what you might be missing by not fully absorbing the ND site and layout, I thought it was time for a features update. So here's a list of new site features since February:
  • Labels - find posts related to topics you want to read by clicking on the text labels on the right
  • Subscriptions - now handled by FeedBlitz.com and are much better/ more reliable than our previous provider
  • Text Message updates - get ND update notices sent to your cell via Zap TXT
  • New Affiliate! - check out Save the Annietees!
  • Old Affiliates - check out Pop Culture Panopticon from the creator of H8FUELED (I occasionally post there, haha), and Like You Do to Shoes has been buzzing with help web tech tips the last week or so.
  • Improved links - sorted better and now more
  • The Force-Cast - catch up on all the latest Star Wars news with Jason and Pete right here on ND using the Force-Cast player
  • ND Google Reader - experience the awesome articles that spark a lot of ND posts by checking out the ND reader where I share the best articles I read each day with you

Hopefully, this will make your blog-reading experience much more enjoyable. Be sure to keep an eye out for ND's 100th post coming soon. You may remember mention of a mini-blog-a-thon, and I think the 100 spot is a great place to try it out.

The Force-Cast on No Disintegrations

No Disintegrations readers can tune in to the Force-Cast right on this page. If you enjoy Star Wars, or just good quality podcasts, you'll like this one. Sometimes you can't always download a podcast (like when you're at work), Now, with the new standalone player in our sidebar, you can listen to the Force-Cast without the need to download the episode.

The Force-Cast reviews Star Wars news, rumors and updates. This is the official podacast of www.rebelscum.com and www.theforce.net - two of the best Star Wars news sites out there.

I recently began tuning into the Force-Cast in order to stay on top of Celebration IV news. Now I'm hooked and listening to back episodes. Jason and Peter are great hosts and they don't take themselves or this show too seriously. It's a good choice for folks with a long commute. Read No Disintegrations Safely

In my quest to continually improve this blog and make it better for readers, I've decided to create an escape route in case anyone is reading the blog at work. You now have a fast way to turn No Disintegrations into an acceptable site. In fact, I liked this feature so much that I updated the entire catalog of No Disintegrations Blogs (dre222's Short Stories, Black Beard of the Salt Sea's Travel Logue and Tales, and the GRRM DB) to include this feature. Just look for the following at the upper right hand corner of each blog:

New Enhancement Feature

Just wanted to let everyone know that I've added a new feature to No Disintegrations (and the GRRM DB in the No Disintegrations catalog). Now when you put your cursor on a link outside Shawed, you will get a pop-up preview of the website the link is pointing to. This way you can get an idea of what kind of site you're going to be visiting if you click a link. For anyone wanting to add this to their website (must be able to edit and add "head" attributes), visit snap.com.
