Blog Action Day Post

So, today is Blog Action Day, where tons of bloggers are all posting about the environment. Personally, I love the environment because it's part of where we all live. Think about it.

You come home to a dirty house after a long day. You're already tired and it seems like it's just too much effort to take a few minutes to pick up old dishes or throw your clothes in the wash. There are stacks of papers everywhere, and an unpleasant smell that apparently has no source you can find. Day after day, these kinds of nasty things build. One day you notice there are bugs everywhere and mold growing on the walls, but you still do nothing. Every day the house gets worse and worse. It makes you feel bad and also starts to make you feel sick. The next thing you know you've let it go so long there's no way it can be saved. Your house becomes condemned and has to be torn down and you've got no place to live. Your body can't take the prolonged exposure, you get really sick and start to die.

This is a worst case scenario for someone's neglected house. Most people wouldn't let their house go this long without doing something about it. However, we all share the environment and the Earth as a home and each day we let things go until it's almost impossible to salvage it.

We don't have to do this. We have the knowledge and the means to stop a lot of the factors that are poisoning our collective home. Find a way to make a small change in your life that helps the environment. Once you're used to that change, make another and another until you are doing several small things that help. Go Green.
