Turn Signals - The Wave of the Future
I wish that the police, et. al., would write people tickets for lack of sufficient turn signal notice. Then these folks could be required to go to a remedial turn signal class, or be forced to ride a bike and use hand signals for a week or two. You should flip on your turn signal a minimum of 50ft before your turn. This gives the drivers behind you time to react and slow down. Likewise, when you see someone turn on a signal, it usually means that they intend to slow and turn. I notice every day that less people use them or pay attention when others do.
Maybe we should have them hooked into people's GPS devices in their autos so if the navigator says to make a turn, other drivers are forewarned. Anyone else have an idea for solving this problem?
